Every year around this time we begin the process of planning, preparing and organizing time together with friends and family. We dedicate an entire day to preparing a meal and expressing gratitude for the people in our lives and the things around us. This year looks entirely different for many of us. To stop the spread of this deadly virus, many of us are redesigning our gatherings to a few, on Zoom or not at all. When so much is out of our control and constantly changing, returning to what we have learned about breathing awakens us to the moment we are in. It is a kind of refuge, a state of mind, with a sense of abundance, resilience and gratitude.
The quote by JFK is a reminder living in gratitude is not a once in awhile thing or a once a year endeavor. It is a lifestyle by which gratitude is cultivated and weaved into action.
